Communications Verification
Version 1.0Effective September 2026
1. Why this policy exists
Our publications document a sector in which fraudulent actors routinely borrow the identity of credible institutions to make an approach plausible. It would be inconsistent to describe that problem at length and make no provision against our own name being used that way.
This policy sets out how any party can verify a Eurabelt communication in under a minute, without contacting us first.
2. The two tests
Test one — is the person listed?
Eurabelt Fuels Ltd operates exclusively through the verified custodians and representatives published at leadership.eurabeltfuels.com. Any person not listed there has not been authorised to act on behalf of the group, whatever they may assert and whatever documentation they may present.
The list is the authority. A letter, a business card, a signed mandate or a copy of one of our publications is not.
Test two — is it a company address?
We do not use any address other than a company email for business communication. Genuine correspondence comes from @eurabeltfuels.com or @eurabeltfuels.eu. We do not conduct business from free webmail accounts, from personal addresses, or from lookalike domains.
3. Indicators that an approach is not from us
- A request for any advance payment — for onboarding, registration, documentation, allocation, access or introduction. Onboarding and verification carry no charge, at any stage, in any circumstance.
- A person not listed at leadership.eurabeltfuels.com.
- An address that is not @eurabeltfuels.com or @eurabeltfuels.eu, including near-miss domains.
- An offer to buy or sell cargo in our name. We take no title to cargo, trade on no account of our own, and do not offer, market or sell petroleum products.
- A claim that Eurabelt is endorsed, accredited or certified by NATO, the United Nations, any government or any treaty organisation. We hold identification and eligibility registrations and no endorsement of any kind, and our publications say so expressly.
- Pressure to move quickly or to bypass verification. Our entire function is verification; urgency is never a reason to shorten it.
- A demand for banking credentials or payment details. We never request these by email.
4. Reporting
Suspected fraudulent representation of Eurabelt Fuels Ltd should be reported to:
compliance@eurabeltfuels.eu
Please include the sending address, the name used, any documents received and the date. Where a report indicates criminal conduct we will refer it to the appropriate authority in the relevant jurisdiction, and we will cooperate fully with any resulting enquiry.
5. What we will confirm on request
Any party may write to us to confirm whether a named individual represents Eurabelt Fuels Ltd, whether a document circulating under our name is genuine and current, and whether a particular approach originated with us. We will answer plainly and without charge. We would far rather answer a question that turns out to be unnecessary than have a party defrauded in our name.
6. Our own verification undertaking
Every registration Eurabelt holds is published with the registry at which it can be checked, and we invite that checking without reservation. Requests for independent verification of any registration, figure or claim we publish will be answered in full.
